I have a client that wanted a large painting, but she thought, I have room for it now, what if I move later in life and don't have room anymore  So a diptych was decided upon.  Now to find an appropriate image that she would love, and that would be perfect for a diptych format.

Naturally it's going to be cows....so I began looking carefully through my vault of reference photos I've taken and came up with this composition, done in two 9"x11" studies.

 

She loved it, and so on to the larger piece.  I started this with one canvas at a time on the easel and have now reached the point where I need them both on.  It's still in progress but it's getting close to finished!
