I have always loved the bull breeds the most, they are full of personality, stubborn but loving and want to please for the most  part.  Their stockiness and physical build makes them strong, but no trait is more endearing to me than the underbite.  So, I couldn't resist painting this sweet bulldog, with his underbite. 

I have raised English Staffordshire Bull Terriers for years and it is considered a flaw for one to have an underbite, though once in a while you do see one, but the Bulldogs are pretty consistent.

This one is no exception, I do follow several owners that post photos of their dogs and while I don't know much about the breed standard for other than my own dogs, an underbite seems to be pretty consistent in these.  Feel free to fill me in if you know!

I call these daily paintings because they are each finished in a day.  They make a great grouping!

Today's painting is so cute, an up close portrait of a chick.  I am quite enamored with chickens of late.  I have done a few paintings, both have sold, and this one is an up close and personal type of portrait which is a first for me. I loved the intense gaze seen on this one especially, and above all it's cute!

What is not to love about those faces?  A chick is popular right now it being spring, and I am told that a lot of places are carrying them right now.  Loved the face!
