So another year has passed, quickly I might add.  That puts me here in my studio on Main Street for 9 years!  It's been a great adventure so far.  2019 saw a lot of new work and some extra emphasis on charcoal.  For the holiday I did this 24x24 piece in charcoal on canvas, which I sealed so it doesn't need to be under glass.  It was a gift for my daughter, and is of her precious dog Lovie, and you can just see Rilee's face in the corner, this is how Lovie likes to claim her 'person', my daughter, and is a familiar scene in my house.

This morning I had to go into my daughter's room and 'borrow' this, so I could get a decent photo to share here with you.  I was told, this is her favorite possession, and if there was ever a fire she would gather her dog and this artwork first.  That really made it special for me, and as I suppose this could be called a custom piece for myself, if you are thinking about anyone who has a beloved pet like this, there isn't a better gift you can get them.  I'm going to accept a limited amount of commissions for 24x24 charcoal on canvas, sealed in 2020, for a special price.  If you would like to get information about pricing and the process, send me a message to [email protected],. or call me in the studio 619-933-5935, or leave a comment with contact information on this blog post.
